The July/August 2014 issue of Texas WET magazine recently profiled low dissolved oxygen (DO) operation and its impact on reduced energy consumption and nutrient removal at the Trinity River Authority of Texas (TRA) Central Regional Wastewater System. The article, “Low DO Operations: Impacts on Airflow, Nitrification, and Ecology” was co-authored by Leon Downing, Donohue & Associates; Mike Young and David Terrill, Trinity River Authority; and Jason Crawly, Freese and Nichols. Downing was instrumental in process modeling and analysis.
Michael Harvey, PE, recently joined Donohue’s Chicago office with more than 30 years of experience in engineering, project management and client service. He has led the planning, design, and construction of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects throughout the Midwest.
Eric Lynne is the most recent inductee into the prestigious *Seven “S” Society* (Sentral States Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers) of the Central States Water Environment Association (CSWEA). He joins fellow Donohue Seven “S” inductees Bill Marten and Ken Sedmak. Eric was honored for his tireless dedication and involvement in CSWEA and contributions to the water environment.
Nathan Cassity, PE, BCEE, a wastewater process engineer with over 15 years of experience, has joined Donohue & Associates in the Sheboygan office. Nathan has performed numerous evaluations and designs for wastewater facilities throughout the U.S.. His expertise includes primary and secondary treatment, nutrient removal, advanced treatment, disinfection, odor control, and biosolids handling, treatment, and disposal. He specializes in process modeling using BioWin and GPS-X.
